My Detail Buddy LLC ("My Detail Buddy", "we", "us") is a mobile auto detailing business based in North Carolina. This policy explains what information we collect when you use mydetailbuddy.com, request a quote, book a service, or text or call us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, mobile phone number, email address, service address or ZIP code, vehicle details, the services you're interested in, notes you send us, and your choices about receiving text messages.
- Booking and payment information: appointment details and payment status. Card payments are processed by our payment processor (Square); we do not see or store your full card number.
- Messages and calls: texts and calls you exchange with us, including your replies (such as STOP or HELP).
- Photos: before-and-after photos of your vehicle taken during a service, as described in our Terms & Conditions.
- Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type, and similar information collected through cookies and analytics and advertising tools (for example Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity).
2. How we use your information
- To answer your quote request and schedule, perform and follow up on your service.
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling updates, deposit and payment links, and customer-service messages.
- To send occasional offers, only if you opted in to them. You can opt out at any time.
- To keep records, process payments, prevent fraud and spam, and meet legal obligations.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it and our advertising.
3. Text messaging (SMS)
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or your text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties, except with the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf (such as our SMS platform and wireless carriers).
When you opt in, you agree to receive texts from My Detail Buddy about your quote, appointments, scheduling, payments and customer service. Promotional texts are sent only if you separately opt in to them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. 4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business and are allowed to use it only for that purpose, such as website hosting, payment processing, text-message and phone delivery, email delivery, our customer-management and scheduling software, and analytics and advertising tools. We may also share information when required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
5. Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized ads through your Google and Meta ad settings. Unsubscribe links are included in our marketing emails, and you can reply STOP to any text.
6. How long we keep information
We keep customer and service records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements, and then delete or anonymize them.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@mydetailbuddy.com or calling (704) 292-0757. We will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
