If you’re asking what ceramic coating costs in Waxhaw, here is the straight answer. Our System X ceramic coating packages run from $810 to $1,500, depending on the package and the warranty term you choose. Below you’ll find each package, what moves the price, and how to get an exact number for your vehicle.
We can’t give you a market-wide average, and we won’t guess at one. What we can do is show you exactly what we charge, so you can judge it against your own car and your own plans.
Our Ceramic Coating Prices
We apply System X ceramic coating. Every package has its own warranty terms, and none of them is open-ended. Terms run 2, 6, or 10 years, depending on the package.
- Crystal+: $810. A 2-year term.
- Pro+: $1,250. A 6-year term.
- Max G+: $1,500. A 10-year term. It includes a free Glass+ windshield coating.
- Max MF (matte): $1,500. A 10-year term, made for matte finishes.
These are the prices for each package as listed. For a confirmed total on your specific vehicle, ask us for a quote.
Why the price doesn't rise in a straight line with the years
Look at the list and you’ll notice that a longer term doesn’t always mean a higher price. Each package is its own product with its own warranty terms, and Max MF is built for matte paint specifically. Don’t pick on the number of years alone. Ask what the package includes and what its warranty covers, and we’ll walk you through it.
Seasonal Option: Pre-Winter Protection
During our October 2026 Fall Specials, we’re offering Pre-Winter Protection with a 2-year System X ceramic coating. It is priced by vehicle size at $749, $799, or $899. It’s a seasonal special, so check the Fall Specials page on our website to see whether it’s still running before you plan around it.
If you want protection on the paint before the colder months, this is the lowest-commitment way to get a ceramic coating on the car. It carries the 2-year term, the same length as the Crystal+ package.
What Affects Ceramic Coating Cost
Two vehicles can get the same package and still need different amounts of work. These are the factors that matter.
Package and warranty term
This is the biggest factor. The package you choose sets the base price, and the term (2, 6, or 10 years) comes with it. Pick the one that fits how long you plan to keep the vehicle and how much protection you want.
Vehicle size
A larger vehicle has more paint to prepare and coat. Our Fall Specials are priced by vehicle size for exactly this reason. If you drive a big SUV or a truck, mention it when you ask for a quote.
Paint condition
Ceramic coating bonds to the paint, so it locks in whatever is underneath. Swirls, scratches, and dull spots will still be there under the coating, so the paint needs to be in the condition you want to keep. That is why prep matters so much, and why we look at the paint before we commit to a number.
If your paint has scratches, correction is priced separately from the coating. Here is what we charge for scratch removal:
- $10 for a scratch in the clear coat.
- $75 to $100 for the main single-panel correction, scaling upward by panel and size.
Finish type
Matte paint needs a coating made for matte. That’s what the Max MF package is for. If your car has a matte finish, tell us up front so we quote the right package.
Windshield and glass
The Max G+ package includes a free Glass+ windshield coating. If glass protection matters to you, factor that into your comparison with the other packages.
What the Price Doesn't Include
A few practical points are worth knowing before you book.
- Water and power. We’re a mobile service, so we come to you. Customers provide the water and power for the job. Make sure we can reach an outlet and a water source at your home or workplace.
- A deposit. For new bookings made on or after October 1, 2026, we ask for a 20% deposit based on the service price. It is non-refundable, it moves with you if you reschedule, and it is deducted from your total.
- A quote for your vehicle. The package prices above are our starting point. We confirm the total once we know your vehicle and its paint condition.
Is Ceramic Coating Worth It?
That depends on what you want from your paint. A ceramic coating is a protective layer that sits on top of the finish. Cars with a coating are generally easier to keep clean, because dirt has a harder time clinging to the surface. A coating is not a force field, though. It won’t stop every scratch, and it won’t replace regular washing.
It tends to make the most sense if you plan to keep the vehicle for a while, if it lives outside, or if you want your paint to be easier to maintain. If you’re leasing or selling soon, a shorter-term package like Crystal+ may be a better match than a 10-year one.
Keeping the Coating Looking Good
Proper aftercare protects your investment. Follow the care instructions for your specific package, and wash gently with a clean mitt rather than automatic brushes. Don’t let bird droppings or bug residue sit on the paint.
If you’d rather not handle it yourself, we offer maintenance memberships. Buddy is $49.99 a month for exterior care, and Buddy+ is $99.99 a month for inside and out. Buddy Pro is $179 a month for visits every two weeks. Premium is $319 a month for weekly visits. Pro and Premium members get 10% off other services. A starter detail may be required before a membership begins.
